Red, White and Blue

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe card I made for my Daughter-in-laws Birthday this year. It is an 8 x 8 card made using the “Kitsch” Collection. I think the blue, white and red half of this collection is so bright, clean and contemporary, and I love the range of cards etc that can be made with it. Some of the elements on the card were already die-cut, some I cut free hand and some I cut out using my Grand Calibur machine. I was very happy with the card and so was my Daughter-in-law, and I hope you like it too x

All my Love

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA DL card – not a size that I make very often. Made with Kraft card that has been run through a Sheena Douglas embossing folder and then inked over with Walnut Distress Ink. I’ve cut the flower from felt using a Tim Holtz Bigz Sixxiz die, and finished off with a button and some lilac raffia ribbon x

Shades of Blue

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA very clean and simple card using PaperArtsy stamps from the “JOFY” range. It has all been stamped with one ink pad – the Kaleidacolor “Carribean Sea” rainbow dye inkpad, on white with a Kingfisher blue mount on both layers to co-ordinate. I love the simpleness of this card and hope you do too x

A Good read recyled

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI used an old book to make this with. The pages are turned in on themselves – I just took handfuls of pages by eye, no specific amount – and put a thin layer of glue over the top and bottom of the book to make it a solid odject before decorating. The flowers and butterflies I used to decorate the book are white, foiled and die-cut butterflies and flowers from “Aspire Crafts”. I’ve used various shades of Distress Inks to colour them, before fixing them to the book with “Pinflair Glue and added a few gems to finish. I really enjoyed making this and love the end result. Hope you do too x

White Toadstools?

A simple 7 x 7 card – the in vougue size I’m told – stamped using a Woodware Zentangle stamp. I’ve stamped with versamark ink and and heat embossed with white embossing powder to act as a resist to the distress ink. The distress inks I’ve use were Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet and a little Seedless Preserve around the very edge. I decided to keep the colour combination very simple, very clean, so just mounted the card on white and purple mats to finish it off x

Beautiful Butterflies

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn A5 card I’ve made with some new products, soon to be available from Aspire Crafts. The butterflies are beautiful in their natural state – white with silver or gold foiling – and they take a variety of mediums which change their appearance in so many ways. On this card I have coloured them with distress inks. The vines in the background have been stencilled with distress inks over textured card. I stitched a border around the outside edge of the card, and also down the centre of the card through the butterflies. I really enjoyed working with these products and am very happy with the end result x

Botanical Tea

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn A5 card from the gorgeous “Botanical Tea” pad from Graphic 45. I love the muted colours in this collection. The card has just been matted and layered from different pages in the collection and I’ve added some spiders web, one of the butterflies cut out, and 3 paper flowers and skeleton leaf die-cuts for added dimension x
