Time for Tea

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

A 6 x 6 card made at a recent Make and Take at a Craftwork Cards event in Leeds.

I love the colours in this collection – they all co-ordinate beautifully and are so refreshing in this heat. I love making these flowers – so simple, but so effective. Hope you like it x

Congratulations

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn A5 Wedding card made using the Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-Five dies. A very simple colour scheme – just white and holographic silver mirri card. I just layered the different elements, running the white crinkle ribbon behind the central stamped panel. The butterfly is 3 sizes of the same butterfly, layered up with 4 gems in the centre. I used a heart dazzler in the centre of the bow to add a little bling and finish the card off. Hope you like it x

Standing Proud

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn A5 card stamped with flowers from my favourite Collection – The JOFY Collection. The background mats were very easy and quick to do – learnt at  Leonie Pujol’s  weekend workshop in March at Bridlington – just drag a distress ink pad across your cardstock at an angle which gives a lovely woodgrain effect – in this case “Mowed Lawn & Mustard Seed”. I stamped the image with versamark clear ink and heat embossed with a white embossing powder. I then coloured the background of the topper with the same Distress Inks used for the background mats, using a blending tool. The flowers were coulored in with “Picked Raspberry” Distress ink (another of my favourites), picked up with a water pen. A green ribbon to embellish and finish off, before mounting the topper on top of the mats with 3d foam. Hope you like it x

Evergreen Wreath

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA 7 x 7 card made recently with the Kanban “Evergreen” paper pad. The pad has a couple of pages with these lovely leaves in ready to cut out and I thought they were just begging to be made into a wreath – so this is the result. I hope you like it x

David’s Birthday card

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Sorry for my prolongued absence which started with an amazing trip to Hong Kong, I have at last got myself organized and back into “normal” life. My eldest son David, is a keen gardener who has his own allotment which he loves to spend time on. He also keeps chickens and is about to start keeping bees – So it seemed a natural choice to make him a card full all things gardening. The card is a tent card, made up from lots of different supplies, so it is hard give credit to them all. I made the shed from a sheet of wood effect card from Kanban and I found the lovely grass border made out of felt on a holiday in Majorca. He loved the card so I am so glad that i made it. Hope you like it too x
