Christmas Trees

22 Sep

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAJust a quick post sharing a sample I made for the recent Kanban shows on Create and Craft. I wanted to make a wreath, but decided to do one that was a little different from a door wreath. I’ve used an MDF wreath for the base of a Christmas Table wreath. I covered it in little bits of backing papers from the “Evergreen” paper pad – bits I had left over from making other samples and then used die-cut circles from the pad to make the trees. The trees are a nice an easy make, but very effective – just fold the circles equally across 8 times and then fold in alternating mountain and valley folds to form the trees. To make taller trees use a kebab stick in the centre and layer the trees to whatever height you want them. I made a sentiment banner for the front, added some shaved ice for snow and some clear plastic “ice” and then sprayed with a little glitter spray. This gives a nice sparkly finish and also gives a bit more strength to the paper trees.Thank you for stopping by and hope you like it x
