Black and White

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA very simple stamped A5 card in monochrome. I can’t remenber whose stamp it is as I’ve had it a while. It is one of my favourite’s as I love trees in all forms, especially trees without any leaves on – I love their unusual shapes and can spend many hours walking in the woods in Autumn and Winter when all the trees are bare. The simplicity of this card reflects the raw and natural state of the trees in winter. I hope you like it x

Back in 5 Minutes

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA 6 x 6 card using some JOFY stamps on some watered Distress Ink background. I’ve painted in the flowers with Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed distress inks using a water brush. The sentiment is from Indigo Blu – only I think it would be more apt for me to say – “out of my mind …. never coming back”. I edged the topper with Salty Ocean distress ink and then I’ve mounted the topper up on mats and layers of Turquoise blue and basket weave yellow.. Thank you for taking the time to look and I hope you like it x

It’s a New Day

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn A5 card to cheer us up during this awful August weather. I’ve used a Wendy Vechi – Studio 490 stamp, stamped with Seedless Preserve and Picked Raspberry Distress inks onto a Distress Ink watered background. I’ve used fuschia pink and white waffle weave to mat and layer and mount the stamped topper on. It gives it a lovely clean and crisp look, which I like as it shows off the stamping better. Hope you like it and hopefully it will cheer your day now the sunshine has disappeared x

Standing Tall

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnother A5 stamped card using the “JOFY” flower stamps. These are most definately my favourite type of stamped cards to create at the moment. I really enjoy creating these backgrounds with Distress Inks, stamped straight onto my glass mat and sprayed with water before pressing my background card into it. You never quite know what you are going to get until you turn the card over, so its always a surprise – usually a nice one. It is very rare that I don’t like the effect. I think the 3 inks I used for the background were – Fire Brick?, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed. I stamped the image with a brown Archival ink and then coloured it in with Fire Brick using a water pen. To finish I edged the whole image with Fire Brick for definition before matting and layering and mounting with 3d foam. Hope you like it x

Standing Proud

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAn A5 card stamped with flowers from my favourite Collection – The JOFY Collection. The background mats were very easy and quick to do – learnt at  Leonie Pujol’s  weekend workshop in March at Bridlington – just drag a distress ink pad across your cardstock at an angle which gives a lovely woodgrain effect – in this case “Mowed Lawn & Mustard Seed”. I stamped the image with versamark clear ink and heat embossed with a white embossing powder. I then coloured the background of the topper with the same Distress Inks used for the background mats, using a blending tool. The flowers were coulored in with “Picked Raspberry” Distress ink (another of my favourites), picked up with a water pen. A green ribbon to embellish and finish off, before mounting the topper on top of the mats with 3d foam. Hope you like it x

don’t eat the Daisies

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnother A5 card using the Paper Artsy JOFY stamps – have I said they are one of my favourite sets of  stamps, lol. I have used a number of blue distress inks with a spray of water on my craft mat to create the background. I have also used Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks to watercolour the stamped flowers in. To finish I used card the same 2 colours as the flowers to mat and layer and then foam mounted the topper onto white basket weave textured card to keep it bright and clean looking x

Rich in Raspberry

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI have been absent for a few days as I’ve been away for a few days on a lovely crafting retreat with some ladies from the UK Stampers Network. I had a great time. This is a DL card made recently using a Paper Artsy – JOFY stamp. I really like the JOFY Flower stamps as I think they are so versatile. I made the background using Picked Raspberry and a little Seedless Preserve Distress inks, which i stamped onto my Craft sheet and mixed together with a little water. When it was dry I stamped the flower with a white ink pad and embossed with white embossing powder. I then  painted in the flower heads with some more Seedless Preserve Ink. To finish off I randomly inked and embossed the edges with some more white ink and white embossing powder. The stamped topper was then layered up on white and Raspberry card and then mounted up on white textured card which has a little disress ink to the edge x

Bloomin Marvellous

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA large 10 x 7 card made using some “JOFY” stamps from Paper Artsy. I created the background from distress inks that I had stamped straight onto my craft mat to use the inks to paint the detail on some other stamped images. They were Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers. I then used some other Distress Inks to paint in the detail of the flowers and butterfly on this card – Seedless Preserve, Mustard Seed and Shaded Lilac. I particularly like this way of making stamped cards. The backgrounds are never the same and using the distress inks to paint in the detail makes the images so bright.

I shall be straying from my prescribed daily schedule for the next few days due to commitments I have this weekend, but shall be sheduling posts containing stamped images for a few days. Hope you like them and enjoy me sharing them with you x

Butterfly Kisses

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis is an A5 landscape card using the Heartfelt Creations stamp – Butterfly Kisses. I have stamped the butterfly image a 4 times with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with WOW White Pearl powder. I’ve then used 3 shades of Pink Distress inks over the top – Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry. Once it was dry, I’ve used a water pen and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to outline the butterflies. I also brushed a little Stickles – Fruit Punch – in the middle of the butterflies to add a little sparkle x

Shades of Blue

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA very clean and simple card using PaperArtsy stamps from the “JOFY” range. It has all been stamped with one ink pad – the Kaleidacolor “Carribean Sea” rainbow dye inkpad, on white with a Kingfisher blue mount on both layers to co-ordinate. I love the simpleness of this card and hope you do too x
