Just a quick post sharing a sample I made for the recent Kanban shows on Create and Craft. I wanted to make a wreath, but decided to do one that was a little different from a door wreath. I’ve used an MDF wreath for the base of a Christmas Table wreath. I covered it in little bits of backing papers from the “Evergreen” paper pad – bits I had left over from making other samples and then used die-cut circles from the pad to make the trees. The trees are a nice an easy make, but very effective – just fold the circles equally across 8 times and then fold in alternating mountain and valley folds to form the trees. To make taller trees use a kebab stick in the centre and layer the trees to whatever height you want them. I made a sentiment banner for the front, added some shaved ice for snow and some clear plastic “ice” and then sprayed with a little glitter spray. This gives a nice sparkly finish and also gives a bit more strength to the paper trees.Thank you for stopping by and hope you like it x

A friend
A 6 x 6 card using some papers from the Graphic 45 “Typography” pad. I love the many sayings in this pad and also the boldness of the colours. As with all of the Graphic 45 pads, everything always fully co-ordinates so it is very easy to layer papers to make a lovely card. I’ve added a ribbon and embellishments from Creative Expressions to finish the card. I hope you like it x
Black and White
A very simple stamped A5 card in monochrome. I can’t remenber whose stamp it is as I’ve had it a while. It is one of my favourite’s as I love trees in all forms, especially trees without any leaves on – I love their unusual shapes and can spend many hours walking in the woods in Autumn and Winter when all the trees are bare. The simplicity of this card reflects the raw and natural state of the trees in winter. I hope you like it x
Baubles so bright
Just wanted to share with you one of the samples I made for the recent Kanban shows on Create and Craft tv. This is an 8 x 8 card using one of the new Christmas Stencils. I used 2 shades of Memento Dye ink – Bahama Blue and Pear Tart and brushed with a little Pale Gold Cosmic Shimmer Mica powder whilst the inks were still a little wet. I mounted the image on 3d foam pads after I had mat and layered with Turquoise card and lime green waffle card. Hope you like it x
